Your question should be specific to WordPress. Generic PHP/JS/SQL/HTML/CSS questions might be better asked at Stack Overflow or another appropriate Stack Exchange network site. Third-party plugins and themes are off-topic for this site; they are better asked about at their developers' support routes.

Improve this questionI am using Divi (a child theme of Divi) and the plugin WP Recipe Maker. I have added the code to the functions.php file to allow svg. I have asked the WP Recipe Maker developer about this, but his suggestions did not fix the problem.
The instructions for adding your own icons that can be selected within WP Recipe Maker was to create a folder within the child theme and upload the svgs for the icon into that folder. Once they are loaded into that folder, the svgs will show up within the recipe template editor. I did all of that, and the svg IS showing where it is supposed to. However, one of two things happen:
I am sure it is in the way that I am saving the SVG or something, but cannot figure out what I am doing wrong. Does anyone have a suggestion for this? I can use Adobe Express, Canva, Inkscape, Google Slides, or Gimp to edit/create graphics. I do not have Illustrator or Photoshop anymore.
